WebI lost my dad on Monday evening, after a 5 year battle with dementia. He remained sweet and gentle the entire time, sparing us of many of the nastier symptoms that come with the disease. Ultimately it was complications from a fall last month that caused his journey to come to an end. He lost his ability to communicate very early on after diagnosis.
